R.S. 17:3996B Notwithstanding any state law, rule, or regulation to the contrary and <br /> except as may be otherwise specifically provided for in an approved chaster, a charter school <br /> established and operated in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter and its approved charter <br /> and, the school's officers aizd employees shall be exempt from all statutory mandates or other <br /> statutory requirements that are applicable to public schools and to publie school officers 'Lind <br /> employees except for the following laws otherwise applicable to public schools with the same <br /> grades: (2 0)Code of Governmental Ethics,R.S.42:1101 et seq.,with the exception ofR.S.42:11.19 <br /> as it applies to any person employed by a charter school prior to August 15, 2001 <br /> 2. <br /> Section 1113 prohi hits a pub.l i c servant fron)entering into any contracts, subcontracts or <br /> other transactions under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of the public servant. <br /> §1113. <br /> A.(1)(a)No public servant, excluding any legislator and any appointed member of <br /> any board or commission and any member of a governing authority of a pari sly with. <br /> a population of ten thousand or less,or member of such a public servant's immediate <br /> family,or legal entity in which he has a controlling interest shall bid on or en tee-i.n to <br /> any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or <br /> jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant. <br />
