Consent order in which Sandra Gonzalez agrees that she violated La. R.S. 42:1111Cā(2)āā(d)ā, while employed by the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority, by receiving a thing of economic value for services rendered to START Corp at a time when START Corp had a contractual, financial, or business relationship with the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority. Ms. Gonzalez also agreed that she violated La. R.S. 42:1121B by entering into a contract with the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority within two years of the termination of her employment to provide the same services she provided while employed with the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority.

14. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1153 provides with respect to penalties: <br /> B. Upon finding that any public employee or other person has violated any <br /> provision of any law within the jurisdiction of the board . . ., the board by a <br /> majority vote of the membership,may remove,suspend,or order a reduction <br /> in pay,or demotion of the public employee or other person,or impose a fine <br /> of not more than ten thousand dollars, or both. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1155 provides with respect to penalties: <br /> A. If an investigation pursuant to R.S. 42:1141 reveals that any public servant <br /> or other person has violated any law within the jurisdiction of the board to his <br /> economic advantage, the board may order the payment of penalties. <br /> Recovery may include, in addition to an amount equal to such economic <br /> advantage, penalties not to exceed one half of the amount of the economic <br /> advantage. . . <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> 15. <br /> As evidenced by her signature below, Sandra Gonzalez knowingly and of her own free will <br /> (a) does not dispute that the violations are factually supported by stated facts herein; (b) does not <br /> dispute that she violated La. R.S. 42:1121B and La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d); (c) acknowledges that <br /> upon her signature being affixed to this consent decree,this document will be available to the public <br /> as a public record; (d) agrees that this order and decree is final, waives her right of appeal or to <br /> otherwise seek a return of the payment of the penalty; and (e) agrees to pay the penalty assessed <br /> herein and otherwise to comply with any other term or condition in the following order and decree. <br /> Ethics Board Docket No. 2016-883 Page 5 of 8 <br />
