Section 1121A(1)
Generally, La. Therefore, you would be prohibited from assisting FFH for a period of two years following
your resignation from the Library Board in any transactions involving the Library Board, or
rendering any service on behalf of the Library Board pursuant to a contract between FFH and the
Library Board.
FFH is not prohibited from entering into contracts with the Library Board.
Section 1121A(2)
Generally, La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) prohibits you, for a period of two years following your
resignation from the Library Board, from contracting with, or being employed in any capacity by
the Library Board. Your request presents no issues under La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) since you will not
be contracting with or being employed by the Library Board, and you are not being appointed to
any position by the Library Board.
Section 1121C
Generally, La. Therefore,
FFH is prohibited from assisting local businesses and private industrial plants in transactions with
the Library Board in which you participated while a member of the Library Board for two years
following the termination of your public service. FHH is not prohibited from assisting those
persons in new transactions. Further, FFH is not prohibited from assisting other governmental
entities or St. Charles Parish in transactions involving the Library Board since other governmental
entities and St. Charles Parish are not"persons."
Section 1121D
La. R.S. 42:1121D prohibits a former public servant from sharing in any compensation received
by another person for assistance which such former public servant is prohibited from rendering by
Section 1121.
