Ethics Board Docket No. 2023-390 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> St John the Baptist Housing Authority's rental income report for 2022-2023 indicates that <br /> Denarold Anderson was an active landlord in 2022 and 2023 and subsequently received $466.00 <br /> in rental income from the Housing Choice Voucher Program in 2022 and an additional $9,339.00 <br /> in 2023. <br /> 7. <br /> If called to testify, Denarold Anderson would deny that he violated La. R.S. 42:1113B but <br /> has reluctantly and solely chosen to resolve this matter through this Consent Opinion as it is the <br /> most economical and expeditious way of resolving such matter. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 8. <br /> La.R.S.42:1ll3B provides that other than a legislator,no appointed member of any board <br /> or commission, member of his immediate family, or legal entity in which he has a substantial <br /> economic interest shall bid on or enter into or have a substantial economic interest in any contract, <br /> subcontract, or other transaction which is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of <br /> such appointed member <br /> 9. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1102 provides the following relevant definitions: <br /> (2)(a)(vi) "Agency" for public servants of political subdivisions, shall mean the <br /> agency in which the public servant serves. Public servants of political <br /> subdivisions shall include,but shall not be limited to,elected officials and <br /> public employees of municipalities. <br /> (13) "Immediate family"as the term relates to a public servant includes his/her <br /> children. <br />
