Ethics Board Docket No. 2024-510 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br /> II. <br /> JURISDICTION: <br /> 1. <br /> The BOE is an agency of the State of Louisiana domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish. <br /> 2. <br /> The BOE is authorized to offer a Consent Opinion to Adam Coleman and Coleman Culture <br /> Basketball, LLC by virtue of La. R.S. 42:ll 41 C(3)(� of the Ethics Code. <br /> III. <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> 1. <br /> Adam Coleman has been continuously employed by the Calcasieu Parish School Board as <br /> a health/physical education teacher and the head basketball coach at Sulphur High School since <br /> August 1, 2019. Sulphur High School serves students in grades 9-12. <br /> 2. <br /> As Head Basketball Coach at Sulphur High School, Adam Coleman is responsible for <br /> conducting tryouts, preseason conditioning and training, team practices, scheduling games, on- <br /> court instruction, post-season exit meetings, and post-season skill development. He is also <br /> responsible for building the full athlete in the basketball program. <br /> 3. <br /> Adam Coleman and his wife, Lauren Coleman, registered Coleman Culture Basketball <br /> LLC ("CCB")with the Louisiana Secretary of State on August 3, 2020,to offer a basketball camp <br /> and academy for children in grades 5-8 during basketball's off-season. The high school basketball <br /> season runs from mid-October to March. <br />
