(1) Has or is seeking to obtain contractual or other business or financial relationships <br /> - with the public servant's agency, or <br /> (2) Is seeking,for compensation,to influence the passage or defeat of legislation by the <br /> public servant's agency. <br /> Further, La. R.S.42:1115B provides that no public employee shall solicit or accept,directly <br /> or indirectly, anything of economic value as a gift or gratuity from any person or from any officer, <br /> director, agent, or employee of such person. if such public employee knows or reasonably should <br /> know that such person: <br /> (1) Conducts operations or activities which are regulated by the public employee's <br /> agency. <br /> (2) Has substantial economic interests which may be substantially affected by the <br /> performance or nonperformance of the public employee's official duty. <br /> 12. <br /> As evidenced by his signature below, Mauricetown knowingly, intentionally, and of his <br /> own free will(a)agrees that the charges are factually sup orted by stated facts herein,(b)agrees that <br /> he violated La, R.S. 42:1111 A and La. R.S. 42:11 11 C(2)(d), and La. R.S. 42:1115 (c) waives his <br /> right of appeal, (d) acknowledges that upon his signature being affixed to this consent decree,this <br /> document will be available to the public as a public rec 'rd, (e) agrees that this order and decree is <br /> final,waives his right of appeal or to otherwise seek a r urn of the payment as the penalty, and(f) <br /> agrees to pay the penalty assessed herein and otherwise t comply with any other term or condition <br /> in the following order and decree. <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
