LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> BD NO: 2021-139 <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF ROWDY GAUDET <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the <br /> Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics (the "Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. seq., and <br /> particularly Section 1141 of the Ethics Code, conducted a confidential investigation concerning <br /> information that Rowdy Gaudet, in his capacity as Councilman, Metro District 3, East Baton <br /> Rouge Parish, may have violated Section 1111 C(2)(d) of the Ethics Code by virtue of his receipt <br /> of compensation for services rendered to Emergent Method, LLC, a Louisiana limited liability <br /> company, ("Emergent Method") while Emergent Method had or was seeking to have contractual, <br /> financial or business relationships with the Consolidated Government of the City of Baton Rouge <br /> /Parish of East Baton Rouge ("City-Parish"). <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation,and with the concurrence of <br /> Rowdy Gaudet,the BOE and Rowdy Gaudet enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES: <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Rowdy Gaudet,a person of the full age of majority,domiciled in the Parish <br /> of East Baton Rouge with an address of 5825 Belle Grove Ave., Baton <br /> Rouge, Louisiana 70820; and <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, a Louisiana State agency domiciled in <br /> East Baton Rouge Parish whose mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton <br /> Rouge, Louisiana 70821. <br />
