Ethics Board Docket Nos. 2023-661 <br /> Page 9 of 12 <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Robert McGamer, in his capacity as a former appointed member of <br /> the GEO Academies EBR Charter School Board,violated La.R.S.42:1121A by virtue of his receipt <br /> of compensation to assist GEO Foundation with its contractual obligations with GEO Academies <br /> EBR within two years of the termination of his service on the GEO Academies EBR Charter School <br /> Board. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a$5,000.00 civil penalty,payable to the Treasurer of the <br /> State of Louisiana, is hereby assessed upon Robert McGarner, and that in the event of a failure to <br /> pay,that suit may be filed to compel immediate payment of any balance due. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the$5,000 civil penalty be and is hereby payable in ten <br /> (10)equal monthly installments of$500,as set forth below. Failure to remit an installment payment <br /> on or before the due date results in all remaining installment payments becoming due and owing <br /> immediately. Installment payments shall be remitted as follows: <br /> August 15, 2024 $500 <br /> September 15, 2024 $500 <br /> October 15, 2024 $500 <br /> November 15, 2024 $500 <br /> December 15, 2024 $500 <br /> January 15, 2025 $500 <br /> February 15, 2025 $500 <br /> March 15, 2025 $500 <br />
