No former agency head or elected official shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service as the head of such agency or as an <br /> elected public official serving in such agency,assist anotherperson,for compensation, <br /> in a transaction,or in an appearance in connection with a transaction,involving that <br /> former agency or render any service on a contractual basis to or for such agency. <br /> A(2).No former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service on such board or commission,contract <br /> with,be employed in any capacity by,or be appointed to any position by that board <br /> or commission. <br /> 3. <br /> Section 1117A prohibits a person from remitting payment to a public servant who is <br /> prohibited by the Code of Governmental Ethics from receiving such payment. <br /> §1117. <br /> A.No public servant or other person shall give,pay,loan,transfer,or deliver or offer <br /> to give,pay, loan,transfer,or deliver, directly or indirectly,to any public servant or <br /> other person any thing of economic value which such public servant or other person <br /> would be prohibited from receiving by any provision of this Part. <br /> 4. <br /> The following terms in La.R.S.42:1102 of the Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics are <br /> germane to analyzing the findings of fact and the applicable law. <br /> §1102. Definitions <br /> Unless the context clearly indicates otherwise,the following words and terms,when used in <br /> this Chapter, shall have the following meanings: <br /> (2)(a)(i)defines"agency"to mean a department,office,division,agency,commission, <br /> board,committee,or other organizational unit of a governmental entity. <br />
