Ethics Board Docket Nos. 2023-659 <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Linda Johnson, while serving as an appointed member of the GEO <br /> Academies EBR Board of Directors, violated La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) by virtue of her receipt of <br /> compensation for services rendered to GEO Foundation while GEO Foundation had a contractual, <br /> business and financial relationship with GEO Academies EBR. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a $10,000.00 civil penalty,payable to the Treasurer of <br /> the State of Louisiana, is hereby assessed upon Linda Johnson, and that in the event of a failure to <br /> pay, that suit may be filed to compel immediate payment of any balance due. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the $10,000 civil penalty be and is hereby payable in <br /> sixty-seven equal monthly installments of$150(with the last installment payment being$100). The <br /> first installment payment is due and owing on or before November 5,2024,each installment payment <br /> thereafter is due and owing on the 5''of each month,with the final payment due and owing on May <br /> 5, 2030. Failure to remit an installment payment on or before the due date results in all remaining <br /> installment payments becoming due and owing immediately. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Linda Johnson shall execute a Confession of Judgment <br /> for the outstanding civil penalty in the amount of$10,000.00 that is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof as Exhibit"A." <br />
