The following provisions proscribe the penalties the Ethics Adjudicatary Board rnay assess if the Ethics Adjudicatory Board determines a violation of the Code of Governmental Ethics has occurred: §I153. Penalties B. Upon a determination that any public employee or other person Y�as violated any provision af any law within the jurisdiction ofthe Board of Ethics except violatians of the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act which shall be governed by Chapter 1] of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950,the Ethics Adjudicatory Board may remove, suspend, or order a reduction in pay, or demotian of the public ernployee or other persan,or impose a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars,or both. §1153. Penalties A.If an investigatiot�conducted pursuant to this Part reveals that any public s�;rvant or other person has violated any law within the jurisdiction of th�Board of F.thics to his economic advantage, and after an adjudicatory hearing on the matter,the Ethics Adjudicatory Board may ordcr the payment of penalties. Recovery may include, in addition to an amount equal to such economic advantage,penalties not to exceed one half of the amaunt of the economic advan.tage. V. OPINION It is the opinion of the BOE that Linda Fantenoi:, while serving as an appointed roember of �e GEO Academies EBR Board of Directors,violated La.R.S.42:1113B by entering into contracts andlor transactioi�s under the supervision and jurisdiction of her agency, GEO Academies EBR and its charter schaols, GEO Prep Charter School, G�O Mid-City Cha.rter School, and GEO Next Generation HS Charter School.
