La.R.S. 42:1155 provides with respect to penalties: <br /> A. If an investigation pursuant to R.S. 42:1141 reveals that any public servant or <br /> other person has violated any law within the jurisdiction of the board to her <br /> economic advantage,the board may order the payment of penalties. Recovery <br /> may include, in addition to an amount equal to such economic advantage, <br /> penalties not to exceed one half of the amount of the economic advantage... <br /> 9. <br /> As evidenced by her signature below,Regan Pyle knowingly and of her own free will (a) <br /> agrees that the charges are factually supported by facts stated herein, (b)agrees that she violated <br /> La. R.S. 42:1113B, (c) acknowledges that upon her signature being affixed to this consent <br /> decree, this document will be available to the public as a public record,(d)agrees that this order <br /> and decree is final and waives her right of appeal. <br /> ORDER AND DECREE <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Regan Pyle, violated La. R.S. 42:1113B by entering into a <br /> contract with the Downsville Charter School to provide substitute teaching services to the charter <br /> school at a time when her father, Reggie Skains, served as Board President of Downsville <br /> Charter School. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that based on the totality of the circumstances, no civil <br /> penalty be assessed on Regan Pyle. <br /> 3 <br />
