R.S. 17:3996B Notwithstanding any state law, rule, or regulation to the contrary and <br /> except as may be otherwise specifically provided for in an approved charter, a charter school <br /> established and operated in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter and its approved charter <br /> and the school's officers and employees shall be exempt from all statutory mandates or other <br /> statutory requirements that are applicable to public schools and to public school officers and <br /> employees except for the following laws otherwise applicable to public schools with the same <br /> grades: (20)Code of Governmental Ethics,R.S.42:1101 et seq.,with the exception of R.S.42:1119 <br /> as it applies to any person employed by a charter school prior to August 15, 2003. <br /> 2. <br /> Section 1121 A prohibits former agency heads from receiving a thing of economic value for <br /> assisting a person in transactions involving their former agency. <br /> §1121. <br /> A(1). No former agency head or elected official shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service as the head of such agency or as an <br /> elected public official serving in such agency, assist another person, for <br /> compensation,in a transaction,or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, <br /> involving that former agency or render any service on a contractual basis to or for <br /> such agency. <br /> A(2).No former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service on such board or commission,contract <br />
